The Brief

What the space asked for

A compact HDB flat to carry a family’s inherited Ming furniture with dignity, while proving that small-footprint living need not compromise comfort, luxury or function — sleeping, dining, kitchen and relaxation woven into one seamless, boutique-hotel layout.

The Approach

The thinking, made material

The heirloom collection leads; around it, a soft neutral palette of warm taupe, stone grey and charcoal sets a calm, sophisticated tone. Elegant shaker-style cabinetry and marble-inspired surfaces add timeless character, while carefully planned built-in storage maximises every inch for a clutter-free home. Layered lighting, upholstered wall panels and refined detailing bring warmth and depth, and the bathroom continues the same hotel-inspired language.

The Outcome

What the space became

A modern urban sanctuary where intelligent space planning meets understated luxury — heritage honoured, heritage lived-in, and proof that even the smallest home can feel spacious, elegant and beautifully curated.

Design Notes

The brief, in full.

Heritage foundation
